Richard Edward Tietje

Richard Edward Tietje age 61, of Holgate, died Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2023 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

He was born August 2, 1961 to Edwin and Irsel (Kinder) Tietje in Deshler.  Richard was a 1979 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.  He was a stay at home dad that enjoyed NASCAR, model trains and music.

Richard is survived by his children: Tiffany Scott, Holgate, Heather (Shane) Kirkland, Fayette, Timothy (Jaymie Payne) Tietje, North Baltimore and Jessica (Cody Dickerson) Tietje, Continental; 15 grandchild; 2 great grandsons and sisters: Jackie (Burdette) Badenhop, Deshler and Joan (William) Altman, Liberty Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Robert Tietje, Ronald “Butch” Tietje and Suzette Miller.

Friends are invited to visit the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 12:00 pm until the memorial service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made to Jessica Tietje to help with family expenses.
