Alvin Warncke

Alvin F. (Big Al) Warncke age 75 of Holgate, died   early Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018 at Vancrest of Holgate.

His Legacy… He was born June 9, 1943 in Napoleon to Alvin and Emma (Michaelis) Warncke.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance.  Alvin was in auto sales and real estate.  He especially enjoyed selling Corvettes, playing golf and cards.  Above all, he liked spending time with his grandchildren.

His Family… He is survived by his son Todd Warncke, Defiance; his four grandchildren: Tiana Warncke, Turner Warncke, Alexander (Skyler) Sonnenberg and Trevor Warncke; great grandson Carter Sonnenberg; brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Warncke, Defiance and Tim Warncke, Defiance and a sister Roxanne Gaeth, Naperville, IL.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Terice Chapman, a son Troy Warncke and a brother Tom Warncke.

His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate at 10:00 am on Thursday with the funeral service at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance.  Contributions made in Alvin’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association or the Filling Home of Mercy.
