Andrew Ernest Grahn age 65, died at his Holgate home Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
His Legacy… He was born May 18, 1950 to Earnest and Connie (Blake) Grahn in Defiance. On December 9, 1973, he married Joan K. Desgranges, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Holgate. Andy was a retired General Motors Foundry worker. He was a member of UAW and Thistledown Flyers, Napoleon. Andy enjoyed casino trips and golfing with friends but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a man that could fix anything!
His family… He is survived by his wife Joan of 42 years; sons, Mike (Stephanie) Grahn, Holgate, Pete Grahn, Napoleon, and Tim (Joy) Grahn, Defiance; a daughter, Connie Grahn (Joe Flores), Defiance; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers Jim Grahn and Dave (Betsy) Grahn; a sister Denise (Larry) Sullivan; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Helen Desgranges; brother and sister-in-laws, Larry (Robin) Desgranges, Carol Agler, Jim Desgranges, Rick (Pam) Desgranges, Ken Desgranges and Connie Wink. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Daniel and Charles Wink, his grandparents and a brother-in-law, Tom Agler.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate on Sunday from 2-8:00 pm. The celebration of Andy’s life will be on Monday, April 18, 2016 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Holgate at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private. Contributions can be made in Andy’s memory to The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, or the donor’s choice.
