Charles R. Westrick

Charles R. Westrick age 61, of Holgate, died in his home on Thursday morning, May 31, 2012.
His Legacy… He was born December 24, 1950 to Robert A. and Vivian C. (Morgan) Westrick in Napoleon. Chuck graduated from Holgate High School in 1971. He served and protected our nation in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was a self employed electrician; co-owner and president of Bob’s Electrical Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Inc. Chuck was a member of the AMVETS, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate and was an active member of the Holgate Lions Club, where he was the current President. He was an active EMT with the South Joint Ambulance District and enjoyed hunting/fishing and in his younger days, scuba diving.
His Family… He is survived by his sisters, Barbara A. Rowland, Napoleon, Mary A. Ordway, Holgate, Sharon L. (Keith) Stone, Swanton; and brothers, William P. (Kim Lehman) Westrick, Sheboygan Falls, WI, and Christopher D. (Jane) Westrick, Holgate.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate on Sunday from 2-8 pm with the Rosary being recited that evening at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate with Father Stephen Stanbery officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, New Bavaria with military honors accorded by joint veteran posts of Holgate and New Bavaria. Contributions can be made in Chuck’s memory to the South Joint Ambulance District or Lions Club International.
