Clifford Charles Crumrine age 86, of New Bavaria, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
His Legacy… Cliff was born March 25, 1935 to Alphonsus Liguori “Tootie” and Laura (Maag) Crumrine in Henry County. He graduated from Hamler High School. Cliff married Betty Schmitz on May 13, 1961. She died on December 4, 2005. On January 28, 2011, he married Shirley Longfellow. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria and was on the church council and an active member in the choir. He also sang with the Northwesternaires Barbershop Chorus, Defiance. He was also a member of the Lima Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Ottawa, charter member of the New Bavaria Volunteer Fire Department and the NRA. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Buckeyes and Notre Dame fan. In his spare time he was in his garden, loved fishing, hunting, golfing and dancing with his wife.
His Family… Cliff is survived by his wife, Shirley; children: Donna (Keith) Szenderski, Toledo, Dale (Stephanie) Crumrine, Glandorf and Karen (David) Okuley, Wapakoneta; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a sister Rita Layne. Proceeding Cliff in death is his siblings: Richard Crumrine, Gilbert Crumrine, Ruth Neiling, Mae Brown and Virgil Crumrine.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received Thursday from 4-8:00 pm in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate and again one hour before the church service. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions in Cliff’s memory can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hospice.
