Consuelo Villagomez

Consuelo Villagomez age 77, of Holgate died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Toledo Hospital.

Her Legacy… She was born April 25, 1945 to Erasmo and Manuala (Tijerina) Cuellar in Robstown, TX.  She married Fernando Villagomez on September 30, 1966 in St. John’s Catholic Church, Defiance. Consuelo was a homemaker and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate.

Her Family… She is survived by her children: Ernesto (Karen) Gonzalez, Toledo, Rachel (Steve) Foster, Holgate and Roland Villagomez, Holgate; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Beatrice Morin and Cecilia Gutierrez, both of Corpus Christi, TX.  She was preceded in death by her husband Fernando on September 23, 2020, daughter, Esmerelda Villagomez, brothers: Joe Garza, Francisco Cuellar and Arturo Cuellar and a granddaughter.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Contributions in Consuelo’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
