David Morlock 61, of Napoleon, was welcomed into Jesus's open arms on Friday, April 1, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
His Legacy… He was born August 4, 1954 in Bowling Green to Clarence and Helena Morlock who preceded him in death. On June 26, 1999 he married his best friend Carmel Salaz. He was a member of Crossroads Church, Napoleon. Dave’s passion was to help everyone who came into his life. He was a strong, smart, loving and courageous husband, dad, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all. His passion was watching and playing golf. He loved the Detroit Tigers and was always looking for new adventures. Dave was an entrepreneur but those were the things he loved. One year ago in March this journey started and he knew that this time was important, especially to his grandchildren. He passed on all the knowledge he obtained over the years. Dave was self-employed for 23 years owning and operating Morlock Material Handling, Hamler Assembly, Perez Foods, Jo Jo’s Ice Cream Shop, Railway Street Café and Morlock Industrial Equipment.
His Family… He is survived by his loving wife Carmel Morlock, Napoleon; daughters, Sara (Todd) Sonnenberg, Napoleon, Tania (Barry) Bolich, Napoleon, Tamina (Anthony) Wright, Napoleon and Joan Maynard, Napoleon; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother Tom (Durleen) Morlock, Perrysburg; a sister Janice (Richard) Tolles, Defiance and his best buddy Tim Johnston, Holgate.
His Farewell Services… Friends and family will be received in Crossroads Church, 601 Bonaparte Drive, Napoleon on Thursday from 10–11am with the celebration of Dave’s life at 11:00 am with Pastor Wes Hoffmire officiating.
