Debra Ann Torres age 64, of San Antonio, TX, died in Defiance while visiting her son.
Her Legacy... She was born May 30, 1953 the daughter of Arturo M. and Lily G. (Garszes) Urdiales in San Antonio TX. She graduated from Holgate High School. Debra was a homemaker and devoted military wife for most of her life and enjoyed volunteering at the Pan American Library after she retired and moved to San Antonio, TX. She spent around 11 years working at Patrick’s Products in Leipsic, Ohio where she had many close friends. Debra had a love for cooking and sharing her recipes. She was known for her tamales and being in “Tamale Heaven” when she gathered with friends and family to make them. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Debra had an amazing zest for life and always wanted to make her friends and family happy by cooking for them.
Her Family... Debra is survived by her children: Ruben D. Torres, Defiance, Sonia M. Hammrich, Temecula, CA, Esperanza E. Gallagher, Temecula, CA and Jose S. Torres, Roy, UT; 6 grandchildren; siblings; Arturo M. Urdiales, Robert Urdiales and Danielle Cagle. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Ruben Urdiales, Diane Mullens, and Delia Urdiales.
Her Farewell Services...
On Saturday, December 16th, friends and family are invited to gather for a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate. A luncheon will follow. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family.
