Dorothy Alice Gallagher

July 1, 1926 — November 9, 2017

Dorothy Alice (Stout) Gallagher passed away surrounded by family at the Henry County Hospital, Thursday night, November 9, 2017 from metastatic cancer.

Her Legacy… Dorothy Alice was born at home July 1, 1926 to Anna and Charles James Stout.  She graduated from Napoleon High School and she was married to James Gallagher also of Napoleon on December 2, 1945.  She had one girl and four boys, Donna Lee Gallagher Orthwein, Charles Cecil Gallagher, Robert Kenneth Gallagher, Tony Wayne Gallagher, Patrick Edward Gallagher.  She had the joy of having 5 grandchildren; Jennifer Gallagher Raber, Andrea Gallagher Klorer, Kristine Gallagher, Robert Ian Gallagher, Jacklyn Gallagher and 12 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son Robert Kenneth Gallagher, a daughter-in-law Debra Gallagher and siblings Mildred Champion, Nellie Glore, Margaret Miller, Marion Stout, Charles James Stout and Anna June Ward. Dorothy lived her life for her family which meant the world to her.  She was an avid golfer and crocheted.  She not only cared for her family but really knew her great grandchildren having been a big part of their lives.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate (419 264 0600) on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 11 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donna Orthwein for the family to decide at a later date.
