Eddie Bevins, age 66, of Napoleon, died unexpectedly at Lima Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 30, 2016.
His Legacy… He was born January 7, 1950 to Jonah Bevins and Blanche Roberts in Matewan, West Virginia. On April 12, 1974, he married Rebecca Wells in Holgate. He retired as a plant service coordinator from Campbell Soup Company after 39 ½ years. He was a member of AMVETS #1991, Moose, Defiance Chapter, and the Eagles, Defiance. Eddie enjoyed reading, camping and ancestry.com. Above all, he spent time with his family and dearly loved his grandchildren.
His Family… He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca; daughter, Kelly Lopez, Lima; 3 grandchildren, Massiel, Lorenzo and Gabriel; siblings, Leon (Laura) Bevins, Ayersville and Mabel Baisden, Bellfry, KY; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings: Franklin, Alva Jean, Lois, Gail and an infant sister, Brenda.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. His funeral will be on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Charles Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Ayersville Cemetery. Contributions made in Eddie’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the family for their discretion.
