Elva Marie (Casillas) Guevara

Elva Marie (Casillas) Guevara age 69, of Napoleon, died Thursday, July 13, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

Her Legacy… Elva was born April 18, 1954 to Lucio Jose and Mary Lou (Urdiales) Casillas in Elkorn, WI.  She graduated from Holgate High School and Four County Joint Vocational School in 1972.  She married Celestino Guevara.  Elva worked at the Filling Home of Mercy for 18 years.  She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon.

Her Family… Elva is survived by daughters: Maria Guevara, Salome Patino and Guadalupe Guevara, all of Napoleon, 5 grandchildren and siblings: Rey Casillas, NC, Migel Casillas, TX, Annie Howell, Deshler, Marsha Casillas, McClure, Vicky Schwartzengraber, Defiance and Tony Casillas, TX.  Elva was preceded in death by her parents.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 9:00 until 11:00 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 11:00 am with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.  The Zachrich Family Funeral Home of Holgate has been entrusted with Elva’s services.
