Emory H. Hagerman

Emory H. Hagerman, age 83, passed away at ProMedica St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, Friday evening, October 11, 2014.
His Legacy… He was born April 2, 1931 to Carl and Florence (Asbury) Hagerman West Virginia, but raised in Hurley, VA. Emory married Emma Harden and they were blessed with 12 children. Later, he married Arlene Rothman who preceded him in death on July 20, 2008. He worked at General Motors as a Mill right. Emory attended the First Baptist Church of Holgate.
His Family… He is survived by children: Emmett (Kathy), Hamler, Sue Frost, Ft. Wayne, IN, Lynn Miles, Defiance, David (Janice), Ayersville, Rocky, Richlands, VA, Jeff (Tammy), New Bavaria, Elizabeth Keller, Defiance, William, Defiance, Ruth (Denny) Strayer, Defiance, Jane Foster, Archbold, and Joe (Lisa), Ft Wayne, IN; 28 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; siblings: Madge (Mac) Justus, Theadosia Barfield, Douglas Hagerman, Roger (Betty) Hagerman, Russell (Caroline) Hagerman, Berthie Jones, and Phyllis (Dan) Siler. Emory was preceded in death by a son Gene, his parents, daughter-in-law Lisha Hagerman, and granddaughter Tabitha Hagerman.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Monday from 3-8 pm and 1 hour before the service. The celebration of Emory’s life will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Grundy officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Township Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Emory’s memory to the donor’s choice.
