Florence Baker

Florence Mae (Rettig) Baker age 96, of Napoleon and formerly of Holgate, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Napoleon.
Her Legacy… She was born June 4, 1918 to Harrison and Matilda Rettig in Elery. In November of 1937, she married Arthur Baker. She was a homemaker and member of St. John United Church of Christ, Holgate. She sang in the church choir.
Her Family… She is survived by her loving husband of 77 years; sons, Kenneth Baker, Petersburg, KY and Herbert Baker, Toledo and a daughter Sandra Shoup, Helena; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother Howard Rettig and a sister Virginia Kite. She was preceded in death by a brother Vernon, a daughter Janet Baker Junge, and a great grand-son.
Her Farewell Services will be private. Burial will be in the St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Holgate. Memorial contributions made in Florence’s memory can be made to St. John’s UCC or Southern Care Hospice in care of the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate.
