Harold P. Eitzman age 92, of Hamler, died Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2018 at Vancrest of Holgate.
His Legacy… Harold was born January 25, 1926 to Fred and Frieda (Tietje) Eitzman in Flatrock Township. He graduated from Florida High School. Harold is a U.S. Army veteran serving time in the European theater. On January 7, 1951, he married Laura Arps. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Holgate and a grain farmer. He was employed by Theodore Fritz Inc. as a farmer and mechanic for 60 years.
His Family… He is survived by daughters Brenda (Steve) Sonnenberg, Hamler and Bernice Germann, Napoleon; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura on November 4, 2012; an infant brother, Marvin; infant daughter, Beatrice Kay; brother, Roger; and son-in-law, Brad Germann.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at church. The celebration of Harold’s life will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am in St. John Lutheran Church, Holgate with Reverend Theodore Rellstab officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions made in Harold’s memory can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
