Inez Irene (Kunesh) Giesige

Her Legacy…Inez was born January 18, 1915 in Defiance.  She graduated from Defiance High School in 1932 and then attended the Mary Manse College in Toledo for two years.  Inez married Richard J. Giesige and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.  Inez enjoyed listening to Cleveland Indian radio, BINGO and gardening.

Her Family… She is survived by sons, Richard J. (Kathleen) Giesige, Ypsilanti, MI, , Thomas Giesige, Lima, Anthony “Tony” Giesige, New Bavaria; 6 grandchildren;  5 great grandchildren; siblings, Martha (Cletus) Wagner, Defiance, Donelda Royal, Defiance, and  Arlene (Skip) Iler, Defiance.  She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in November of 2001, a son Edward Giesige, sisters, Rita Batoha, Madonna Limbach a brother Virgil Kunesh and a daughter in law Mary Ann Giesige.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 pm with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria at 10:30 am with Father George Wenzinger   officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Contributions made in Inez’s memory should be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
