John Altman

John Altman, 62, of Holgate, died Friday morning, August 1, 2014, in Toledo.
His Legacy… John was born to Norbert and Marciel (Cullet) Altman on August 30, 1951 in Defiance. On July 10, 1971, he married Mary Kay Yaichner at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Holgate. John was a truck driver for Grelton Elevator, as well as a farmer. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, NW Ohio Tractor Pullers Association, and the breakfast club at Hamler Diner.
His Family… He is survived by his wife MaryKay; children, Melanie (Craig) Anderson, of McClure and Chris (Amy) Altman, of Holgate; grandchildren, Brooke Anderson (Tim Eberly), Kristen Anderson, Ethan Altman, and Jordyn Altman; and sisters, Linda Perry, Tolar, TX and Connie Arps, Defiance. John was preceded in death by his parents and Aunt Mary Lou Schwab.
His Farewell Services… Friends and family will be received at Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be private.
