John Robert Rohrs

John Robert Rohrs, age 61, of Holgate, died Wednesday morning, October 16, 2013 in his rural Holgate home.
His Legacy… He was born March 28, 1952 to Norman and Velma (Baker) Rohrs, in Napoleon. On April 16, 1983 he married Teresa “Terri” Lynn Bostelman. John graduated from Napoleon High School in 1970 and The Ohio State University in 1974. He has been a committed vo-ag teacher at Holgate High School for the past 9 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, FFA Advisor, OSU Alumni, and past 4H Advisor.
His Family… John was a devoted family man being survived by his loving family: wife, Terri; son, Zachary Robert (Emilie) Rohrs; daughters, Mandi Rohrs and Bailey Rohrs all of Holgate; his parents, Norman and Velma Rohrs, Holgate; grandsons, Parker and Hayden; and brothers, Mark Rohrs, Defiance and Darrell (Cyndy) Rohrs, Deshler. He was preceded in death by his sister Pat Kress.
His Farewell Services…Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Friday from 2-8 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. The celebration of John’s life will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. John Lutheran Church, Holgate with Reverend Theodore Rellstab officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions can be made in John’s memory to the Rohrs girl’s educational fund c/o Teresa Rohrs or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
