Julian L. "Corky" Heitman

Julian L. “Corky” Heitman, Jr. age 83, of Napoleon, died Friday, April 19, 2024 at Northcrest Rehab and Nursing.

His Legacy… Julian was born to Julian L. and Rosemary (Mansfield) Heitman, Sr. on March 10, 1941 in Napoleon.  He graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1959.  He obtained his associates degree from Fort Wayne Business School.  He married Mary Cooper.  Corky was self-employed and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed aviation and radio-controlled airplanes.

His Family…  He is survived by his loving wife Mary Heitman, Napoleon; son Jeff (Connie) Heitman, Holgate; grandchildren: Andrew and Addison Heitman; a sister Kathy Jacobs, Holgate and nieces and nephews.  Preceding Corky in death was two brothers, Fred and Bill Heitman.

His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home of Holgate on Tuesday from 3-7:00 pm and again in the church one hour prior to the service.  The celebration of Corky’s life will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon with Pastors Marcis, Scheiwe and Bettcher.  Memorial contributions can be made to the church or the EAA Young Eagles program for promoting aviation to youth.  Please visit ZachrichFuneralHome.com to leave online condolences.
