Julia “Pearl” Castillo age 63, of Defiance died early Sunday morning, December 27, 2015 at the Vancrest Healthcare Center of Holgate.
Her Legacy… She was born December 14, 1952 to the late Jose and Tana (Briseno) Salaz in Napoleon. On October 17, 1983 she married Francisco Castillo and he survives. She was a housekeeper at Vancrest of Holgate and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate.
Her Family… She was loved by her children: Diane Carrisalez, Defiance, Arthur Ray Carrisalez, Defiance, Gilbert Michael Carrisalez, Defiance, Nancy Ralston, Defiance, Yolanda Ann Sigler, Defiance; grandchildren: Nathaniel Carrisalez, Shamyra Smith, Anthony Magallon, Emme Reese Sizemore, Ava Rose Sigler and Luke Gregory Sigler; siblings, Jayne Hernandez, Napoleon, Joe Salaz, Jr., Holgate, Elias (Betty) Salaz, Defiance, Mike Salaz, Defiance, Karme (Dave) Morlock, Napoleon, Sally Raya, Defiance, Josie (John) Goble, Defiance, Mary Cline, Defiance, Rudy (Angie) Salaz, Florida, OH, and Andy Salaz, Napoleon. She was preceded in death by a brother Pedro Salaz and an infant sister.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 11:00 am until the time of mass at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date. Contributions made in Julia’s memory can be made to the family to help with expenses.
