Juliana D. Korney Taylor

Juliana D. Korney Taylor age 93, of Hamler died early Friday morning, September 8, 2023 at Vancrest of Holgate.

Her Legacy… She was born July 2, 1930 to Clarence and Caroline (Klima) Maag in New Cleveland. In 1951 she married William Korney and he died in 1971.  In 1979, she married Gene Taylor and he died in 1980. Juliana was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Hamler and currently attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria.  She was employed Campbell’s Soup Company for 15 years.  She was a bartender at Like’s Bar in Hamler and Bill’s Tavern in New Bavaria.  She volunteered for a food pantry in Deshler and was a VFW Auxiliary member for over 50 years.  Juliana liked gardening, family time and her biggest passion was BINGO, playing cards and Knockoff.

Her Family… She is survived by children: Ed (Connie) Korney, Dennis (Annette) Korney,  Pam (Tim Fuller) Korney, Doug (Dorothy) Korney and Paula (Rick) Stark; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and siblings: Marie Kunkle, Leon Maag, Diane Hicks, Linda Morningstar and Frank Maag. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gary and Paul and siblings: Carol Jean Cribbs, Oscar Maag, Dorothy Bigger, Clarence and Eddie Maag.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 2-8:00 pm and again on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am in the church.  Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Creek.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Putnam County.
