Kendall Virgil Rettig age 72, of Napoleon, died Wednesday afternoon, December 4, 2013.
His Legacy… He was born on May 2, 1941 to Iden and Hildagarde (Badenhop) Rettig. He graduated from Holgate High School in 1959. Ken was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon. He worked as a Journeyman electrician most recently at TAS Incorporated for 12 years and has been a member of IBEW Local #8 since October 1, 1961.
His Family… He is survived by his loving daughters, Tammy (Bill) Hershberger, Marshallville, Ohio and Kendra (Townsie) Allen, Holgate; granddaughters, Kelsey and Kaylie Hershberger; siblings, Rutheda Smith, Napoleon, Rose Mullett, Holgate, and Jim (Sandra) Rettig, Holgate. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Grossman, and brother Herbert Rettig. Ken will be greatly missed by his loving dogs, Jake, Ellie, and Daisy.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and 1 hour before the funeral service. The Celebration of Ken’s life will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon with Reverend Pete Marcis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Ken’s memory be made to Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio or a charity of your choice.
