Larry Arps

Larry Arps age 86, of Hamler, died Saturday morning, August 13, 2022 at Northcrest Rehab and Nursing Home, Napoleon.

His Legacy… Larry was born February 25, 1936 to George and Emma (Hoff) Arps in Hamler.  He married Mary Patterson on May 30, 1965.  Larry was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler and was a former trustee, was on various committees and volunteered with many things.  He served 2 years with the Ohio National Guard and was a member of the AMVETS.  Larry was a lifelong farmer and worked in the maintenance department at the Campbell Soup Company for 40 years.

His Family… Larry is survived by his loving wife Mary; sons: Chadwick (Janell) Arps, Malinta and Brandon (Sarah) Arps, Deshler; 5 grandchildren: Anderson, Jordan (Brice Prigge), Romulus, Reegan and Rhiana; a sister, Marilyn Burow, Toledo and a sister-in-law, Lois Arps, Napoleon.  Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Herbert, Donald and Linda.

His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Tuesday from 3-7:00 pm and again one hour before the church service.  The celebration of Larry’s life will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler with Reverend James Fundam officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Contributions in Larry’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Elara Care Hospice or a charity of your choice.
