Lawrence Dale Walters

Lawrence Dale Walters age 73, of Napoleon died Monday evening, March 19 at St. Luke's Hospital in Toledo. He was born December 9, 1938 to Carrol and Beatrice (Chase) Walters in North Branch, MI. On April 4, 1987 he married Judith Gerdeman. Larry was a member of the Sharon United Methodist Church, Napoleon. He worked at Campbell's for 27 years retiring in 1999. He also worked at Libbeys, Pizza Hut and McDonalds.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Judy; daughters; Laura (Charlie) Weeden, Hartford, MI, Carrie (Merle) Rosenberger and Elizabeth Walters both of Napoleon; sons, Ryan Bullock-Walters and Eric Walters both of Napoleon; granddaughters, Lorna Walters, Morisa Scarbrough, Jessica Rosenberger and Annabelle Weeden; grandsons, Rey Bullock, Eliot Bullock and Dustin Scarbrough; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Caroline Ellsworth, St. Helen, MI, Margaret (Joe) Van Deylan, Kathy (Bill) Van Deylan both of Palms, MI; brothers, Larry (Martha) Walters, Newyago, MI and Lester (Marcie) Walters, Harbor Beach, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Emily and great grandson, Israel.

Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home on Friday from 2-8 pm and 1 hour before the church service. The celebration of Larry's life will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March24, 2012 in the Sharon United Methodist Church, Napoleon with Pastor Lindy Maurice-Saum officiating. Following the church service, there will be military honors accorded by joint veterans of Napoleon. Contributions can be made to the family.
