Ludmila "Lydia" Kominek

Ludmila “Lydia” Kominek, age 88, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her New Bavaria home.
Her Legacy… She was born September 6, 1927 to Joseph and Marie (Otrhalek) Kominek in Czechoslovakia. She graduated from high school in Czechoslovakia. She was a caregiver and worked at the cannery in New Bavaria and Napoleon. Lydia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing.
Her Family… She is survived by her sister, Marie Kominek, brother, Frank Kominek, and nephews, nieces, and many cousins. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anna and Marie Kominek and brother, Milos.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home (114 William St, Holgate) on Thursday June 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Rosary will be said at 7:30 pm. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to Lydia’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:30 am, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria with Father Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Contributions made in Lydia’s memory can be made for Masses or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
