Margaret M. (Gerken) Baden

Margaret M. Baden age 83, of Hamler, died Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
Her Legacy… She was born November 30, 1928 to Albert and Lydia (Meyer) Gerken in Napoleon. On August 31, 1947, she married Marvin F. Baden. She was a 1946 graduate of Ridgeville High School, a clerk at the former Barhites Grocery in Hamler and a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler.
Her Family… She is survived by her loving husbandMarv of 64 years; her daughters, Patricia (Rod) Miller, Hamler and Sandra Goeken, Oswego, IL; 3 grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Prigge, Lisa Stout and Hannah Goeken; 3 great grandchildren and sisters, Lucia (Walter) Delventhal and Evelyn Rohrs, both of Napoleon.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Saturday from 3-8 pm and one hour before the church service. The celebration of Margaret’s life will be on Sunday, August 19,2012 at 2:00 pm in St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler with Pastor Sharon Stonerock officiating. Burial will be private. Contributions can be made in Margaret’s memory to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice or St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
