Margaret Theresa Powers age 92, of Holgate, died Friday, February 21, 2014 in her home.
Her Legacy… She was born April 7, 1921 to Frank and Thesea (Weisbecker) Hohenbrink in Holgate. She graduated from Holgate High School in 1939. In 1950 she married Bernard J. Powers and he died in 1973. Margaret was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate and its Rosary Altar Society.
Her Family… She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey L. (Denise) Powers, Boca Raton, FL and Kevin J. Powers, New Bavaria; 1 grandson, Ryan. She was preceded in death by siblings: Donna Schueller, Judy Hohenbrink, Marilyn Hohenbrink, Dorothea Wahl, Annette Powers and Paul Hohenbrink.
Her Farewell Services… Per Margaret’s request, she will be cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, February 24, 2014 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Pompano Beach, FL. Contributions made in Margaret’s memory can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
