Margaret A. (Bockbrader) Shidler

Margaret A. Shidler, age 90, died Sunday morning, June 23, 2013 in her McClure home.
Her Legacy… She was born August 18, 1922 to Fred and Mary (Stein) Bockbrader, in Portage Township. On June 21, 1946, she married Donald Shidler. Margaret was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McClure, had taught Sunday school and was on the Christian Education Committee. Margaret enjoyed sewing, crocheting, flowers, canning and baking. The family enjoyed her rolls and cheesecake!
Her Family…She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years; daughters, Barbara (Dean) Dawson, McClure and Marsha (Stephen) Fritz, Holgate; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, Norman, Gilbert, Arnold, and Melvin Bockbrader.
Her Farewell Services…Friends will be received in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 155 Depot Street, McClure on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 9-11 am. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at 11am. Burial will follow in the Grelton Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Henry County Hospice or McClure EMS.
