Marva Jean Meyers

Marva Jean Meyers age 75, of Holgate, died Wednesday evening, June 8, 2022 at the Defiance In-patient Hospice Center.

Her Legacy… She was born May 22, 1947 to Marvin and Laurina (Rauch) Fahringer in Napoleon.  She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1965 and attended BGSU.  She had retired from Job & Family Services.  She also worked for LDM Plastics/Arrow Plastics.  On May 5, 2012, she married Eugene Meyers in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Holgate.  She has been an active member of the church.  Marva loved her cats and was an avid reader!

Her Family… She is survived by her husband Gene, Holgate; son Sean (Pam) Fahringer, Napoleon; step daughters: Janeen (Don) Miller, Sylvania, Valerie Meyers, Toledo, Denise (Chad) Doda, Defiance and Olivia Meyers, Defiance; 10 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and siblings: Joyce Fahringer, Napoleon, Toby (Kim) Fahringer, Gahanna, OH,  Linda (Jim) Gallaher, Bryan and Brenda (Mark) Cole, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her parents and step mother.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Sunday from 3-7:00 pm and 1 hour at the church before services.  The celebration of Marva’s life will be on Monday, June 13, 2022 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Holgate at 11:00 am with Reverend Juli Lejman-Guy officiating.  Contributions in Marva’s memory can be made to the Public Broadcast System (PBS), Henry County Humane Society or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
