Patrick Shawn McCague

Patrick Shawn McCague age 57, of Continental, died Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2022 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo.

His Legacy… He was born July 8, 1964 to William and Ethel (Chehi) McCague in Rhode Island. He graduated from Antwerp High School.  He married Debbie Ann Okuly on March 12, 1985.  He enlisted with the United States Air Force and retired in 2005.  Patrick was a postal carrier.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria and the Knights of Columbus.  He was also a member of the New Bavaria VFW and Defiance AMVETS.

His Family… He is survived by his wife, Debbie; children: Jennifer M. (Keith A.) Soto, Holgate, Shannon E. (McCague) Hucke, Continental, and Sean W. McCague, Defiance; grandchildren: Hunter A. Soto, Haley M. Soto, Lucas D. Soto, Logan M. Hucke, Melody E. Hucke, Alexandra L. McCague and Benjamin M. McCague and siblings: Jeff (Casandra) McCague, Shelly (Dan) Bowers, Laurie McCague, Debbie Scott and Rebecca (Clif) Sipe.

His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Friday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 pm and again at the church one hour before the service.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Northcreek.  Contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church   in memory of Patrick.  Please visit ZachrichFuneralHome.com to leave online condolences.
