Ramiro Salinas, Jr. age 59, of Holgate, died Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
His Legacy… Ramiro was born in Napoleon, February 20, 1954 to Ramiro and Joaquina. He selflessly enlisted with the United States Marine Corp., serving from 1971 to 1973. In 1974, he married Olga Gomez. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate and the New Bavaria VFW. Mito was employed with Cooper Tire and Rubber Company of Findlay for 5 years.
His Family… Ramiro is survived by his loving wife Olga; son, Raul Salaz, Florida, Ohio; son, Rick (Frances) Gomez, Hoytville; daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Salinas Corser, Holgate; mother, Joaquina, Holgate; grandchildren, Alexander, Samira, Alanna, Alyssia, Mariah, Carrigan, Abel, and Adon; great-grandchildren, Karleigh, Taylor, Zeke, Christopher; and brothers, Ricardo H. Salinas and Raul H. (Kris) Salinas, Sr. Holgate. He was preceded in death by his father, Ramiro, and a sister, Alma Torrez.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Friday from 2-5 and 6-8 pm with a rosary service at 7:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00 am, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holgate, with Father Stephen Stanbery officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Marine Corp. from the Perrysburg Burial Detail Unit. Contributions in Ramiro’s memory can be made to Holgate High School Athletic Boosters.
