Raymond Augustus Schroeder, 90, of Napoleon, died Wednesday evening, November 16, 2011 at Golden Living Center - Northcrest.
His Legacy… He was born November 24, 1920 to Frank J. and Thersia (Winkler) Schroeder in Leipsic. On June 16, 1984 he married Ialeen Ruth Davis in Middletown, OH. He was a farmer all of his life. Raymond was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and after he married Ialeen, they became members of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Ottawa.
His Family… He is survived by his loving wife and sisters, Kathryn Reiman, Leipsic,Marie (Abe) Lammers, Spencerville and Mildred (Joseph) Brubaker, Hamler; sister in law, Karis Schroeder and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by siblings, Ralph, Sister Mary Victor S.N.D., Syvilla Odenweller and Guy Schroeder. He will be missed by his Persian companion cat "Bonnie".
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in St. Augustine Catholic Church on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 9-11 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow on at 11:00 am with Father Dan Borgelt celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Raymond's memory to St. Augustine Catholic Church or school.
