Ruth Esther (Marshaus) Roehrs

Ruth Esther Roehrs age 91, of Holgate, died Sunday night, August 11, 2013 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
Her Legacy… She was born October 25, 1921 to Adam and Mary (Hoellrich) Marshaus in Highland Township, Defiance. She graduated from Ayersville High School in 1940 and married Paul Hubert Roehrs on July 19, 1941 in St. John Lutheran Parsonage in Defiance. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2007. Ruth was a homemaker and member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Defiance.
She is survived by nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Roehrs. She was also preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Carl, Adam and Walter Marshaus and a brother-in-law, Curtis Roehrs.
Her Farewell Service… The Celebration of Ruth’s Life was on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery, New Bavaria Road, Defiance. Contributions can be made in Ruth’s memory to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
