Susan Kay Schwab

Susan K. Schwab, age 70, of Holgate, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Vancrest Healthcare Center.

Her Legacy… She was born March 11, 1943 to Ray and Jeanette (Retcher) Kline in Holgate.  Susan graduated from Holgate High School in 1961 and Northwest Technical College in 1973 as a L.P.N.  On February 10, 1962, she married William E. Schwab, who survives.  Susan was a nurse for over 30 years at The Defiance Clinic and  Defiance Regional Medical Center, retiring from nursing in 2003.  She was a member of Holgate United Methodist Church, Ohio Nurses Association, and Red Hats Society.

Her Family… She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; 3 sons, Bruce (Linda) Schwab, Arlington, TN, Edward Schwab, Reynoldsburg, OH, and Daniel (Brandy) Schwab, Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Bill, Steve, Monica, Ben, and Audrey Schwab; and great granddaughter, Paige Schwab;  4 sisters, Darlene (Gary) Ordway, Clearwater, FL, Diane (Lester) Kruse, Cecil, OH, Peggy (Frank) Lantz, Montpelier, OH, Deb (Dave) Hoffman, McClure, OH;  brother, Tim (Roz) Kline, Bryan, OH; and Susan’s loving puppy Benson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her Farewell Services… Susan’s services will be private. Contributions in Susan’s memory can be made to Hospice of Henry County or a charity of the donor’s choice.
