Violet M. Diemer

Violet M. Diemer age 95, of Holgate, died early Thursday morning, August 31, 2023 at Vancrest of Holgate.

Her Legacy… She was born September 16, 1927 to Albert Leroy and Inez (Griswold) Ewing in Antwerp.  She graduated from Miller City High School.  On July 24, 1948, she married Donavon Diemer.  Violet was a bookkeeper for the Campbell Soup Company.  Violet was a member of the First Baptist Church, Defiance, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and sang in the choir.  In her later years, she attended the First Baptist Church, Holgate.

Her Family… Violet is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Ed) Wright, Olney, IL; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Diemer, Defiance.  She was preceded in death by her husband on March 21, 2001, sons: Thomas Diemer and Roger Diemer and brothers, Harold Ewing, Dale Ewing and a sister Florence.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Saturday, September 2 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am with Pastor Irl Grundy officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.  Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church, Holgate.
