William K. Baden

William “Bill” K. Baden age 71, of Napoleon and formerly of Elery, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
His Legacy… He was born August 31, 1940 to Ernest and Mary Kathryn (Groll) Baden in Malinta. Bill was in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969. On October 23, 1965 he married Bonita R. Gerdeman in Emanual Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Bill retired in 2002 from Sherwin Williams Rubberset, Deshler. He was a member of the Bert G. Taylor American Legion and the Napoleon Moose. He enjoyed his Detroit Tigers, Lions and Buckeyes. He liked to read and drink. When he was younger he would hunt and fish.
His Family… He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie; son, Terry (Jane) Baden, Malinta; daughter, Tammy (Scott) Rich, Westerville; grandsons, Jacob and Gabriel Rich and step grandson Ryan Buchholz; brothers, Richard (Jean) Baden, Deshler, and Keith Baden, Avon Park, FL and a sister, Eileen (Robert) Cross, Durham, NC. He was preceded in death by a brother Frederick “Fritz” Baden.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home on Saturday from 2-7 pm. The celebration of Bill’s life will be on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date. Contributions can be made in Bill’s memory to a charity of your choice.
