William "Bill" Schwab

William E. Schwab age 82, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, in his Holgate home. Bill was born September 23, 1942 to Elmer and Lillian (Okuly) Schwab. He lived his whole life in Holgate and graduated from Holgate High School in 1960, marrying his high school sweetheart Susan Kay Kline on February 10th, 1962. He was employed by Johns Manville, Defiance, Ohio, for 42 years. Bill was a die-hard Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan (and died hard many years). He enjoyed weather, astronomy and aviation. 

Bill is survived by his sons Bruce (Linda) Schwab of Arlington, Tennessee, Edward Schwab of Holgate, Ohio and Daniel (Brandy) Schwab of Winchester, Virginia; Grandchildren, William Schwab of Lakeland, Tennessee, Steven Schwab of Lakeland, Tennessee, Monica Schwab of St. Joseph, Michigan, Benjamin Schwab of Winchester, Virginia and Audrey Schwab of Winchester, Virginia; Great-granddaughter Paige Schwab of Lakeland, Tennessee; Siblings Joyce Vance of Temperance, Michigan, Sharon Neff of Defiance, Ohio, Richard (Diane) Schwab of Auburn, Indiana and Mary Jo (Gary) Brown of Holgate, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Susan Kay Kline Schwab, his infant brother Kevin Schwab and brother Michael Schwab both of Holgate.
